Harris to speak in Indianapolis on Wednesday at Zeta Phi Beta convention

INDIANAPOLIS — Vice President Kamala Harris will be speaking at the annual convention for the historically Black sorority Zeta Phi Beta in Indianapolis on Wednesday in one of her first stops across the country following President Joe Biden’s decision to end his bid for a second term in the White House.

Prior to Biden’s announcement, Harris was scheduled to speak in Indianapolis this week at the sorority’s annual convention. Her office confirmed that she will keep the speaking engagement, making Indiana one of her first stops along the campaign trail. The event is not open to the public, and is an official event through the Office of the Vice President.

On Monday evening, Indiana’s delegates to the national convention, as well as the party’s State Central Committee, endorsed Kamala Harris for President unanimously in a virtual call.
