Propeller lists August maker events

The Columbus Propeller makerspace at Columbus Air Park, 4760 Ray Boll Blvd., has listed the following events for August:

Propeller Craft Club Meet-Up: Every Tuesday in August, 5:30-7 p.m. Community members are invited to attend Propeller Craft Club and participate in various arts, craft and creative projects. All skill levels welcome. Free, donations welcomed.

Propeller Music Makerspace: Every Wednesday in August, 5-6:30p.m. Weekly meet-up is for current, past or future musicians interested in an informal opportunity to play together. Musicians of all skill levels are welcome. Free, donations welcomed.

Prepare for Battle: Learn to Paint Tabletop Gaming Figures: Saturday, Aug. 17, 2-3:30 p.m. Learn different techniques of painting tabletop gaming figures. Preprinted resin figures, paint and brushes will be provided. $15 Propeller members, $20 nonmembers.

Propeller Lego Club: Mondays, Aug. 19 and 26; 5:30-6:30 p.m. Open to all ages to participate in designing and building with other Lego enthusiasts. New themed builds weekly. Free, donations welcomed.

Bridgeport Mill Workshop: Wednesday, Aug. 21, 6-7:30 p.m. Learn to use a Bridgeport Mill. Topics will include proper tool selection, machine setup and basic milling operations. $30 for Propeller members, $40 nonmembers.

Metal Lathe Working 101: Thursday, Aug. 22, 6-7:30 p.m. Learn the fundamentals of working with a metal lathe in a hands-on workshop. Learn about parts of the lathe machine, basic use and safety guidelines. $20 for Propeller members, $30 nonmembers.
