JENNINGS COUNTY — Jennings County Sheriff deputies were sent to an address in Country Squire Lakes Friday after a report that two individuals were struck by lightning.
Deputies said an 18-year-old male and a teenage female juvenile, who is nine months pregnant, were in a tent outside of their residence when they were struck by lightning inside their tent.
Deputies gave aid until Rescue 20 arrived, and both individuals were then treated for their injuries, and are listed in serious but stable condition. Deputies said the baby “is OK as well.”
