Softball Hall of Fame All-Stars set for Aug. 24

The Second Annual Columbus Indiana Slow-Pitch Softball Hall of Fame (CISSHOF) All-Star Game will be at 3 p.m. Aug. 24 at Lincoln Park Diamond 1. Mayor Mary Ferdon will throw out the first pitch, and retired Hall of Fame broadcaster Sam Simmermaker will be the MC.

A few other events will be going on in advance of that game on Aug. 24.

Steve Imlay will host a SLI Academy Slow-Pitch Softball hitting clinic from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Diamond 6. Cost is $300.

Ron McDonald Jr. will host a Fast-Pitch Pitching Clinic at 10 a.m. on Diamond 2. Cost is $20.

Rusty Brummett and Jerry Burton will host a Fast-Pitch Hitting and Fielding Clinic at 10 a.m. on Diamond 3.

The CISSHOF Home Run Derby will be at 1 p.m. on Diamond 4. Registration begins at noon. Cost is $10 for 10 swings, and the person with the most home runs in 10 swings splits the pot.

There will be a $5 gate fee for those attending.
