The Bartholomew County Solid Waste Management District will have a limited number of no-charge tire take-backs at the Bartholomew County Landfill beginning this week.
This is applicable for residential tires (up to four passenger tires per household) from Bartholomew County residents, who may drop them off at the landfill, 811 E. County Road 450S during normal business hours which are 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday and 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday.
Address verification is required.
IDEM has been awarded a Waste Tire Grant allowing for this no-charge take-back which is limited based on the funds awarded.
