The 20th running of the annual Hall of Fame Classic at Brownstown Speedway featured the Northern Allstars Late Model Dirt Series for Slicker Graphics Late Models. There were 41 NALMS Late Models on hand to go after the $10,000 top prize. It was the second-largest car count ever for the event and the biggest since 2007.

Devin Gilpin of Columbus recorded his third straight Late Model win at the Speedway, winning the Northern Allstars Late Model Dirt Series “Hall of Fame Classic.” Josh Rice and Adam Stricker brought the field to green, and Rice jumped to the early lead. Stricker assumed the lead on the fourth lap and maintained the lead for most of the race. A couple of mid-race cautions kept the field close as Gilpin slowly worked his way forward. Gilpin caught Stricker with 11 laps remaining and took over the lead. A late race caution tightened the field once again, but Gilpin held on for his second career Hall of Fame Classic win.

Gilpin has five wins at Brownstown for the year. Stricker and Rice ran second and third, followed by Derek Groomer and Jason Jameson. Rounding out the top 10 were Stormy Scott, Chad Stapleton, Seth Daniels, Kaede Loudy and Jared Bailey.

Jamey Wilson of Seymour found his way to Victory Lane in Pewter Hall Super Stocks. Wilson’s last Super Stock win was in 2020. Lee Hobbs took the early lead until Zach Sasser took over on Lap 3, and Wilson moved into second. During a Lap 7 caution, Sasser had mechanical issues, and Wilson inherited the lead. Wilson led the rest of the way for the win. Branden Carr, Derek Clegg, Greg Amick and Isaiah Sasser followed Wilson at the checkers.

Preston Carr of Underwood got win No. 3 for the year in Crossroads Truck Equipment Pure Stocks. Hunter Perry led the entire race, then a yellow flew with a couple laps remaining. Perry had a flat tire, and Carr took over the lead. Carr led Brent McMillan, Josh Turner, Ross Smith and Mickey Hines at the finish.

Aaron Seay of Sellersburg scored bis first win of the year in Crown Vic feature action. Seay jumped to the lead at the start of the race and held the lead all 20 laps for the victory. Matt Cranmer, Matt Weston, Ryan Woods and Todd Cain rounded out the top five.

During the Hall of Fame Classic each year, new members are added to the Brownstown Speedway Hall of Fame. This year’s Hall of Fame inductees were Tony Thomas, Bruce Turner and the Wilhite Family (Virgil, Steve and Brian).
