For many decades, The Republic readers have enjoyed reading about the Columbus East and Columbus North football games in the Saturday paper.
As you may have noticed over the past year, The Republic has gone through many changes with the most noticeable one being only two print editions a week.
Back in April, because of the closing of the printing plant in Indianapolis where The Republic was being printed, The Republic now is being printed in Greenfield, and print deadlines were moved to earlier in the evening, which meant live sports coverage was online-only during the spring sports season. That will be the case again for the fall.
Not to worry, The Republic is still committed to giving the best local sports coverage, and readers can look for game recaps of football on Friday nights and for other fall sports each night at therepublic.com/category/local-sports
