COLUMBUS
Mary E. Redden, 71, of Columbus, passed away peacefully on Thursday August 8, 2024 at Otterbein Franklin Senior Living Community. Mary was born May 15, 1953 to Clarence and Margaret (Dickey) Ammerman. They preceded her in death.
Mary had an amazing green thumb and loved gardening and flowers. She was also a wonderful cook and baker. She was kind-hearted and always willing to help anyone.
Survivors include her loving daughter, Christina (Jason) Roberts of Columbus; grandchildren, whom she loved dearly, Keith Prior, Jr., and Zachary Roberts both of Columbus; sisters, Shirley Cox of Clayton, IN and Peggy Washburn of Indianapolis; and brother, Jerry (Susie) Ammerman of Indianapolis. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 33 years, James L. Redden; brothers, Larry and Guy Ammerman; and a niece, Dawn Coughlin.
A celebration of life is being planned for a later date.
