Friends and family gathered the late Jim Murray at Jim Murray Flying Field for remote control aircraft. Murray, the former Bartholomew County solid waste manager, was instrumental in giving the Bartholomew County R.C. Flyers Club permission to use the old landfill to fly their remote control aircraft. The club named the airfield after Murray.
