* You can put your altruistic nature to good use at 7 p.m. Saturday at the nonprofit Columbus Area Arts Council’s annual Uncommon Cause fundraiser with the theme “Hats Off to the Arts” at Harrison Lake Country Club, 588 S. Country Club Road in Columbus. Besides the music of pop-rock group Milligan (with Alex Milligan shown here), this event also includes food, a live auction of high-profile packages such as trips, a silent art auction, a pop-up shop, and a closing-night push called Fund a Need, in which attendees are invited to donate to a particular issue that the arts council is committed to. The event, which normally attracts about 300 people, helps support the arts council’s programming, much of it presented here for free to its event attendees. Information: artsincolumbus.org.
