Bartholomew County

Library Babies — 10 to 10:30, 10:35 to 11, and 11:05 to 11:30 a.m., Bartholomew County Public Library, 536 Fifth St., Columbus. This relaxed program is a baby-friendly introduction to storytime. Library Babies is geared toward children birth to 18 months and their caregivers. To register, call the children’s desk at 812-379-1288.

BCPL Express — 2:45 to 3:30 p.m., Heritage Woods, 222 Sycamore St., Columbus. BCPL Express is a mobile free book program from the Bartholomew County Public Library.

Tween Game Time — 3:15 to 5 p.m., Bartholomew County Public Library, 536 Fifth St., Columbus. Stop by after school and join us for some laid-back fun as we play our way through our collection of board, card, and dice games. Game selection may vary.

Teen Thursgame — 3:30 to 5 p.m., Bartholomew County Public Library, 536 Fifth St., Columbus. Featuring our brand new Arcade Machine with over 20k games. Learn to play new games, or enjoy older ones in this afterschool games club.

Conoce tu Futuro en Columbus — 5 to 8 p.m., Bartholomew County Public Library, 536 Fifth St., Columbus. Tu Futuro te invita a conocer tu ciudad guiado por estudiantes latinos de preparatoria. Empezaremos por la biblioteca publica a las 5:30. Tu Futuro invites you to get to know your city guided by Latino high school students. We will start at the public library at 5:30.

Library Dreams — 6 to 7 p.m., Bartholomew County Public Library, 536 Fifth St., Columbus. Join archivist Tricia Gilson in a talk about the dreams library planners had regarding what the library could be and should be in the community. Discover how some of those dreams come to fruition and some did not.

Metal Lathe Working 101 — 6 to 7:30 p.m., Columbus Propeller, 4760 Ray Boll Blvd., Columbus. Attendees will learn the fundamentals of working with a metal lathe including parts of the lathe machine, basic usage and safety guidelines. Cost is $20 for propeller members and $30 for non-members.
