NORTH VERNON — Jennings County won the top two singles matches Thursday, but New Albany took the other three to claim a 3-2 boys tennis victory.
Parker Bales beat Cooper Anderson 6-1, 6-2 at No. 1 singles, and Luke Napier topped Corbin Crone 6-3, 4-6 (10-3) at No. 2 singles for the Panthers (0-2).
Jennings’ Ty Zohrlaut fell to Asher Chaudry 6-2, 6-3 at No. 3 singles. Cole Skinner and Brady Sentz lost to Sam Seigel and Caleb Bradshaw 6-2, 6-2 at No. 1 doubles, and Asher Morin and Nolan Sochacki fell to Kingston Pierce and Ethan Beliles 6-1, 6-2 at No. 2 doubles.
