INDIANAPOLIS — IU Columbus opened its volleyball season Wednesday with a 25-15, 25-19, 25-17 loss at Marian.
Addison Lemon led the Crimson Pride with 12 assists and two aces. Leah Thompson pounded seven kills, Sadie Egan and Kera Wischmeier each had two blocks and Cora Baker notched 17 digs.
Sarah Bennett, a junior from Columbus North, led Marian with five blocks. Bennett also added one dig.
IUC (0-1) will visit Rose-Hulman on Saturday. Marian (2-0) will play in the St. Francis Onset Invitational Friday and Saturday.
