AURORA — Jennings County opened its football season Friday with a 42-14 loss at South Dearborn.
The Knights jumped out to a 28-0 lead midway through the second quarter before the Panthers got on the board on an 87-yard pass from Nathan Harrison to Brandan McCory. South Dearborn led 35-6 at halftime.
Jennings added a fourth-quarter touchdown on a 12-yard pass from Harrison to Mason Sorenson.
Harrison finished 4 of 10 passing for 102 yards. Rhett Burkman led the defense with eight tackles and a fumble recovery.
