North takes fourth at Jeffersonville

JEFFERSONVILE — Columbus North was missing a few of its players when it opened the boys tennis season Friday and Saturday and finished fourth in the Jeffersonville Invitational.

Jasper won the eight-team event with 39 points. Zionsville finished second with 32, followed by Elkhart (30), Columbuds North (26), Bloomington North (17), Delta (16) and Jeffersonville and New Albany (10 each).

Hank Lin won all three of his matches in straight sets to take the No. 1 singles title for the Bull Dogs. Yoki Murabayashi and Vince Sasse went 2-1 to finish fourth at No. 1 doubles. North also finished fourth at No. 2 doubls, with Michael Crossman and Sashu Sabapathy going 0-1 and Sabapathy and Ritvik Naruca going 2-0.

The Bull Dogs placed fifth at No. 2 singles, with Parth Shah going 1-0 and Adrian Perez 0-2. Jace Branham went 1-2 to take sixth at No. 3 singles.
