Dolores Marie Andress, 98, of Columbus, Indiana, passed away at 8:49 p.m. Sunday, August 25, 2024, at the home of her son Steve in Fishers.
Dolores was born to Lawrence and Lena Letzkus on June 25, 1926, in Terre Haute, Indiana.
She graduated from Central Catholic Girls School and Indiana State University. She married Max D. Andress on March 31,1951 and was married for 56 years. Dolores was a former member of both St. Ann’s and St. Margaret Mary’s Catholic Church in Terre Haute, and since 1952, she has been a member of St. Bartholomew Catholic Parish in Columbus.
She is survived by her daughter, Nancy (Andress) Hankins; sons, Michael Andress (Daryl),
Stephen Andress, and Thomas Andress; grandchildren, Matt Andress, Megan Andress, Molly(Andress) Rago, Mark Andress, Brad Andress, Heather Andress, Greg Andress, Christina (Andress) Sanjuan, Ava Andress, Kelly(Andress) Green, Brian Andress, Maxie (Andress) Smith, Stevie (Andress) Upchurch, Aaron Andress, Mick Andress,
Alexa (Zeller) Kruger, Triston Perry and Scott Jessee; great-grandchildren, Eli, Emmeline, Everett Andress, Sofia, Max and Joey Rago, Maddison and Mac Andress, Brody Andress, MJ, and Jaxson Green, Hadleigh and Weston Andress, Emilia Andress,
Maverick South, Maxlynn Hobbs, Camila and Dominic Sanjuan, Beau and Millie Andress, Max Redicker, Kate Kruger, Rhett, Ford, and Nellie Smith, Hazel Upchurch, Aubrey, Blakely, and Bryce Andress.
Dolores was preceded in death by her husband, Max Andress; her parents, Lawrence and Lena Letzkus; her infant brothers, Bill and George Letzkus; and her son, David Andress.(Holly).
A private family Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Bartholomew Catholic Church with Father Chris Wadelton officiating.
She will be laid to rest next to her husband at the Garland Brook Mausoleum.
