Hope’s fifth annual Arts and Antiques Fair on the Square featured more than 40 vendors including artisans, artists and antique sellers from Hope, Cincinnati, Elizabethtown, Shelbyville, North Vernon and elswehere. The fair was presented by the Hope Area Chamber of Commerce.

1999

John Burnett was named the executive director of Community Education Coalition after returning to Columbus from Buffalo, N.Y., where he served as president of Adecco Personnel Services. Burnett previously served as director of human resources for Cummins Engine Co.’s worldwide midrange engine operations.

1974

Columbus attorney Milford E. Anness was the main speaker at the dedication ceremony for the new Treaty Line Museum post office in Dunlapsville in Union County. The post office was located in the Treaty Line Museum Village, which contained 27 buildings.
