NORTH VERNON — Beech Grove jumped out to a 20-2 halftime lead Friday and went on to post a 46-10 football victory at Jennings County.
The Panthers’ lone touchdown came on a 78-yard kickoff return by Brandan McCory. That was followed by a 2-point conversion run by Reed Wilson.
McCory led Jennings (0-2) in rushing with 43 yards on 11 carries. Nathan Harrison completed 7 of 19 passes for 67 yards, and Sam Hernandez caught five passes for 53 yards.
Gomie Gomez and Rhett Burkman led the defense with four tackles apiece.
