SHELBYVILLE — The Hauser boys tennis team picked up its first Mid-Hoosier Conference victory with a 4-1 win against Southwestern (Shelby) on Tuesday.
Hunter Pappano beat Kyle Beck 6-4, 5-7, 7-5 at No. 1 singles, Kam Blair topped James Oliver 6-2, 6-4 at No. 2 singles and Colten Hatton blanked Kentley Gosser 6-0, 6-0 at No. 3 singles for the Jets (4-2, 1-0). Jayden Blair and RJ Foster downed David Colston and Caleb McDonald 6-1, 6-1 at No. 2 doubles.
Hauser’s Jentzen Bechtel and Joel Bechtel fell to Jackson Burcham and Chris Cecil 6-4, 5-7, (10-7) at No. 1 doubles.
