No. 2 Carmel topples No. 5 North

INDIANAPOLIS — Hank Lin remained unbeaten at No. 1 singles, but No. 2-ranked Carmel won the other four matches Tuesday to claim a 4-1 win against No. 5 Columbus North in a rematch of last year’s state final, this time played at Perry Meridian.

Lin beat Wesley Worobel 6-2, 6-1 at No. 1 singles for the Bull Dogs (3-1). Parth Shah fell to Andrew Mil 2-6, 6-1, (10-7) at No. 2 singles, and Teddy Littrell lost to Vishal Shankar 6-0, 6-1 at No. 3 singles.

North’s Yoki Murabayashi and Vince Sasse fell to Michael Bao and Grant Mu 6-3, 6-3 at No. 1 doubles. Sashu Sabapathy and Michael Crossman lost to Jude Sangar and Rajeev Singh 7-5, 6-3 at No. 2 doubles.
