SHELBYVILLE — Edinburgh battled back from a two-set deficit to tie Thursday’s Mid-Hoosier Conference volleyball match, but Southwestern (Shelby) took the fifth set to pull out a 25-22, 25-16, 23-25, 25-27, 15-11 win.
Kenna Streeval recorded 25 kills and 56 digs, and Kinzie Purvis had 44 assists and six blocks to lead the Lancers (1-14, 0-3). Gracelyn Adcock had six blocks, and Gracie Lawson served four aces.
Also for Edinburgh, Lexi Riley pounded eight kills, and Lawson and Adcock each added three kills. Elizabeth Hernandez tallied 35 digs and one ace, Purvis notched 19 digs and one ace and Elliot Smith contributed three kills and three blocks.
