Shorthanded Bull Dogs edge Warriors

No. 5-ranked Columbus North played without No. 1 singles player Hank Lin and one of its No. 1 doubles players, but still managed a 3-2 boys tennis victory against Whiteland on Thursday.

Parth Shah pulled out a 1-6, 7-6 (3), 6-2 win at No. 1 singles to give the Bull Dogs (4-1) the victory. North earlier had gotten a 6-3, 6-1 win from Sashu Sabapathy and Adrian Perez against Tysen McGart and Quintin Gieseking at No. 2 doubles and a 6-4, 2-6, 6-4 triumph from Teddy Littrell against AJ Stephenson at No. 2 singles.

The Bull Dogs’ Jace Branham fell to Jeremiah Hurt 6-2, 3-6, 6-0 at No. 3 singles. Yoki Murayabashi and Vince Sasse lost to Isaac Phegley and Gavin Stubbe 2-6, 6-3, 6-1 at No. 1 doubles.
