Trinity Christian tops Crimson Pride

PALOS HEIGHTS, Ill. — IU Columbus scored a pair of first-half goals Saturday, but took a 6-2 men’s soccer loss at Trinity Christian.

Jon Michael Bright scored the first Crimson Pride goal off an assist from Columbus East graduate Justin Sylva. Their second goal came from Kevin Cruz off an assist from Gideon Adegbeminiyi.

Trinity Christian outshot IUC 17-8, putting 11 shots on goal to six for the Crimson Pride. Jacob Kasarda recorded five saves.

IUC (2-1-1) will host Marian at 7 p.m. Wednesday.
