2014

World-renowned violinist Rachel Barton Pine visited the rehabilitation center at Columbus Regional Hospital, where she played both classical arrangements and rock riffs in the dining room.

1999

A group known as the Coffee Cup Philosophers met daily at The Filling Station restaurant in Hope, where they discussed local and national problems. The group was split into two groups, Democrats and Republicans, which sat at separate tables.

1974

An agreement was announced between Columbus Center IUPUI and Franklin College that would allow IUPUI students to take classes at Franklin. The announcement was made by Indiana University President Dr. John W. Ryan.
