HANOVER — The IU Columbus men’s and women’s cross-country teams opened their season Saturday at the Hanover Invitational.
Neither Crimson Pride squad had enough runners to score as a team. They had two women and four men compete.
Erin Jones finished 16th in the 5K (3.1-mile) women’s race in 21 minutes, 48 seconds. Abby Voss was 29th in 23:33.
For the men, Jackson Neibert led IUC with a 16th-place finish in 21:26 for 8K (3.8 miles). Emiliano Rosales-Lopez took 42nd in 23:19, while Conner Beatty was 58th (24:55) and Blake Nigg 73rd (31:24).
The Crimson Pride will compete in the Terre Haute Twilight Oct. 4 at the LaVern Gibson Championship Cross Country Course.
