The 23rd annual Columbus Scottish Festival kicked of with the Highland Games and live bagpipe music. One of the highlights of the day was the European Car Show, which included a vintage Mini, three Triumphs, a Citroen Pallas series and a Land Rover.

1999

World-renowned artist Dale Chihuly gave a lecture to open an exhibition of his work at the Commons. The exhibition, titled “Dale Chihuly: Seaforms,” was housed at the Indianapolis Museum of Art – Columbus Gallery.

1974

J. Irwin Miller, chairman of the board of Cummins Engine Co. and the Irwin Union Bank and Trust Company, attended President Gerald Ford’s economic summit meetings on inflation in Washington, D.C.
