Statewide needs assessment now open to all seniors

The 2024 Community Assessment Survey for Older Adults is now open to all Indiana residents age 60 and older, according to Thrive Alliance.

This survey, initially only available to randomly selected participants, is conducted by the State of Indiana in partnership with area agencies on aging throughout the state and Polco, a trusted research firm and civic engagement organization. The questionnaire gathers insights from seniors about their experiences with local employment and volunteer opportunities, housing, accessibility, mobility and physical and mental health.

Eligible Indiana residents can access the survey online at polco.us/indiana24. The information is confidential and individual data and votes are never shared, according to Thrive Alliance.

Survey results will help identify the greatest challenges and needs for older adults across the state. This public input will support the development of related policies, initiatives and community programs.

All Indiana residents 60 or older are encouraged to participate. This survey is available online in English, Spanish, simplified Chinese, traditional Chinese, Korean, Arabic, Vietnamese, Hindi and Tagalog.

Thrive Alliance serves as Indiana’s Agency on Aging for Bartholomew, Brown, Decatur, Jackson and Jennings counties.
