Columbus police investigating two shooting incidents

COLUMBUS, Ind. — Columbus police are investigating two shootings Sunday night which involved activation of the Columbus Police Department SWAT team.

The first was a shooting in the 4400 block of Coles Drive. One adult male was shot in the abdomen and flown to an Indianapolis area hospital. An adult male was taken into custody, police said.

The second incident was also a shooting in the 4900 block of Silver Fox Drive. However it appears no one was shot. There was only property damage from the shooting. The male suspect was barricaded inside a home, but eventually came out peacefully and was taken into custody.

Both incidents were separate, police said.
