The Hauser girls volleyball team set a new record of 12-0 with a 25-8, 25-21, 25-19 victory over visiting Crothersville. Brea Metz had seven kills, and Sydney Schoen and Jordan McDaniel each had six kills.
1999
Students, faculty and parents gathered around flagpoles at Columbus East and North high schools during the 10th annual “See You at the Pole” event. More than 3 million students nationwide participated in the prayer event.
1974
Two American Field Service (AFS) students, Rafael Cangas from Spain and Wirut Ampun from Thailand, arrived in Columbus and joined Columbus East High School for the 1974-75 school year. The AFS sponsored students from foreign countries to study in the United States and vice versa.
