BEDFORD — Columbus East came close in the final two sets Tuesday, but Bedford North Lawrence held on for a 25-15, 25-22, 25-23 Hoosier Hills Conference volleyball victory.
Lauren Smith led the Olympians (3-13, 1-3) with 14 digs and one ace. Kimberly Carothers pounded eight kills, Krea Martin recorded 18 assists and Jenna Thomas served one ace.
Also for East, Chloe Gill tallied seven kills, and Martin added 12 digs.
