HARSTVILLE
Ronald Lee Hendershot, 79, of Hartsville, passed away on September 13, 2024 at Columbus Regional Hospital.
Born on December 2, 1944 in Columbus, Ron was the son of Irvine Hendershot and Faye Maxine Smeltzer Green. He married Patricia Ramsey Leuellen on April 28, 1944.
Ron had previously owned and operated Ron’s Auto Interiors. He continued to be self-employed as an upholsterer.
Ron was a member of Hartsville Church of Christ.
He enjoyed music, playing guitar and singing. He often sang at church. He liked collectible cars and doing construction work. Ron enjoyed using his hands, was very artistic and had a very engineered mind.
Survivors include his wife; children, Travis (Lari) Shaw of Powell, OH, Tony Luellen of Hartsville, Daniel Leuellen, Jr of Hartsville, and Zach (Diane) Hendershot of Indianapolis; grandchildren, Laine and Jameson, Elliott, Eliza, Maddox, and Grayson Hendershot, Caleb and Matthew Leuellen, and Arden and Aaron Leuellen; siblings, Phil Hendershot of Ohio and Karen Hendershot of Columbus; and several nieces and nephews.
Ron was preceded in death by his parents.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 19 from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. with a service following at 5 p.m. at Norman Funeral Home. Cremation will take place.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to help with funeral expenses.
