HOPE — South Decatur took another step toward a Mid-Hoosier Conference volleyball title with a 25-13, 25-10, 25-6 win Thursday at Hauser.
Aniston Bostic pounded five kills, Makayla Somers recorded 11 assists, Taylor Somers had four blocks, Paige McQueen notched six digs and Zsophia Sharp served eight aces to lead the Cougars (13-2, 4-0).
Also for South Decatur, Sharp tallied three kills and three blocks, and McQueen added three kills. Makayla Somers had two kills, five digs and two aces and Bennett served seven aces.
Charleston Gelfius led the Jets (3-17, 0-2) with three kills, two blocks and one assist. Leah Manley recorded one assist and two aces, Regan Mack and Kaidenze Shoaf each had one assist and Maley Jordan notched six digs.
Also for Hauser, Jordan pounded one kill, Gelfius posted four digs and Mack and Kaysie Kistler each tallied one kill and two digs.
