Indianapolis-based Franciscan St. Francis Health opened its new office in downtown Columbus in the former Goodyear tire shop. Dr. Teresa L. Lovins, along with four other primary care physicians, were set to use the facility.

1999

The Indianapolis Museum of Art — Columbus Gallery celebrated its 25th anniversary with a party including birthday cake and music. The gallery at the time was displaying the exhibit “Hoosier Artists in Munich: Drawings and Paintings by Adams, Forsyth, Richards and Steele.”

1974

Columbus North High School senior Steve Zeller was the guest speaker at the Columbus Service League’s annual fall luncheon, where he spoke about communication and the English language. Zeller closed the meeting with his award-winning speech, “Our Constitution — The True Climax of Our American Dream.”
