SHELBYVILLE — Hauser took Southwestern (Shelby) to the brink in the first set Tuesday, but the Spartans posted a 26-24, 25-15, 25-17 Mid-Hoosier Conference volleyball victory.
Charleston Gelfius recorded five kills and three blocks, and Leah Manley had six assists and five aces to lead the Jets (4-18, 1-3). Maley Jordan notched 20 digs.
Also for Hauser, Baylee Riley tallied two kills, one assist, three digs and two aces; Aleigha Wickliffe posted two kills and one block and Kaidenze Shoaf pounded two kills. Gelfius added one assist and three aces, Regan Mack had one assist and Ruby McKinney added three digs.
