Columbus East came closer in each set Thursday in a 25-8, 25-13, 25-17 Hoosier Hills Conference volleyball loss to Floyd Central.
Krea Martin led the Olympians (3-16, 1-5) with 13 assists and five aces. Kimberly Carothers pounded six kills, Chloe Gill notched seven digs and and Anika Jenkins had one solo and one assist block.
Also for East, Martin and Jenkins each recorded two kills and Chloe Gill tallied two kills and one block assist. Lilah Klei and Chandler Harris each had one solo block, and Lauren Smith added six digs.
