Panthers take fourth in HHC tourney

JEFFERSONVILLE — Jennings County won the No. 1 singles match, but Jeffersonville took the other four to claim a 4-1 win in the third-place match of the Hoosier Hills Conference boys tennis tournament.

Parker Bales beat Matthew Lowe 2-6, 6-3, 6-3 at No. 1 singles for the Panthers (7-14).

Jennings’ Ty Zohrlaut fell to Teddy Burnette 6-2, 6-0 at No. 2 singles, and Lucius Stidham lost to KJ Westbal 6-1, 6-0 at No. 3 singles. Cole Skinner an Luke Napier fell to Ryan Crawford and Austin Gazaway 6-3, 6-2 at No. 1 doubles, and Brady Sentz and Asher Morin lost to Stone Stiff and Elijah Glasscock 6-4, 6-0 at No. 2 doubles.
