The Indiana Audubon Society and Indiana Land Protection Alliance will offer free October Big Day birding hikes on Saturday, Oct. 12 at Betley Woods in Trafalgar, Oxbow Nature Conservancy in Lawrenceburg, Robinson Cave Ladder Preserve in Miltown and Touch the Earth Natural Area in Columbus.
Each hike will begin at 9 a.m. and participants should dress appropriately for hiking. Binoculars and cameras are also encouraged.
Free tickets can be obtained at obd2024.eventbrite.com through Oct. 11 and registration is required.
Tickets for other birding hikes throughout Indiana are also available.
