No. 4 North boys, girls runners sweep Jasper invite

JASPER — Carys Glyn-Jones won the girls race, and the Columbus North’s fourth-ranked girls and boys cross-country teams swept the team titles at Saturday’s Jasper Invitational.

The Bull Dog girls scored 21 points to 90 for runner-up Jasper. The North boys scored 31 points to 81 for Evansville Reitz and 99 for Jasper.

Glyn-Jones ran 19 minutes, 12.68 seconds for 5,000 meters (3.1 miles). Tristan Works finished third in 19:58.90, while Emma Lowther was sixth (20:09.78), Kyleigh Wolf seventh (20:36.22), Macy Eaton eighth (20:40.43), Ainsley Sherlock ninth (20:48.56), Adira Sluder 10th (20:59.16), Rendy Zhong 11th (20:59.94), Wendy Zhong 14th (21:13.74) and Kodi Smith 16th (21:24.30).

Neal White led the Bull Dog boys with a third-place finish in 16:20.46. Jonny Klaus took fifth in 16:48.86, while Logan Vanzant was sixth (16:53.39), Denton Sluder eighth (16:58.94), Justin Reckers ninth (16:59.40), Graham Pumphrey 12th (17:16.93), Jace Works 13th (17:17.88), Sam Steinmetz 14th (17:18.01), Joseph Day 15th (17:19.07) and Draven Martinez 16th (17:25.48).
