Bartholomew Consolidated School Corp. and Columbus Regional Hospital partnered to teach high school health students how to perform CPR. Students enrolled in health class at Columbus North, Columbus East and Columbus Signature Academy New Tech high schools spent the day in the hospital’s simulation lab practicing CPR.

Hauser High School’s boys tennis team advanced to Columbus North’s sectional semifinals after beating Edinburgh 5-0 in the Mid-Hoosier Conference.
1974
The Columbus East High School band placed second in the Persimmon Festival parade held in Mitchell and got a standing ovation. The band had also performed in the parade the year before, winning the first-place trophy.
