COLUMBUS
Cheryl Lynn Parker, 65, of Columbus, Indiana passed away at 2:35 a.m. on September 26, 2024 at St. Francis Hospital in Greenwood.
Cheryl was born July 4th, 1959, in Columbus, Indiana, the daughter of Fred and Frankie Belle Webb Thompson. She graduated from Columbus East High School in 1977 and was a retired employee of NTN Driveshaft. Cheryl married her sweetheart, Terry Gene Parker, on June 17th, 1978 and are the proud parents of three children, Nicholas Scott Parker, Derek Nathan Parker and Chelsey Lynn Parker, all of Columbus and one precious grandson Owen Eugene Lee Parker.
Cheryl loved her family. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. Because of her health issues she was not able to spend as much time with them as she wanted too but her husband and children and grandson were her world, and she will be deeply missed.
Cheryl is survived by her husband Terry; sons Nicholas and Derek Parker, daughter Chelsey Parker and grandson Owen Parker; also her sisters Patricia Ann Johnson (Kevin) of Friendswood, Texas, Elaine Gwen Baute (Max) of Hartsville, Indiana; sister-in-law Karen Thompson of Ogilville, Indiana and many nieces and nephews, plus extended family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother Veron Thompson; her in-laws Gene and Opal Parker and sister-in-law Peggy Parker.
