Bartholomew County

BCPL Express — 9 to 11 a.m., Clifty Park, Indiana Ave. & Marr Road, Columbus. BCPL Express, a mobile free book program from the Bartholomew County Public Library, at Clifty Park Touch a Truck.

Columbus Star Quilt Guild — 9:30 a.m. to noon, First Baptist Church, 3300 Fairlawn Drive, Columbus. On Oct. 3, after a short business meeting, there will be four presentations: Janice Harrell on “How to Make Folded Envelopes”, Carol Walp will offer “Tips for Embroidering”, JoAnn Ferguson on “Beading on Your Quilts” and Vicki Anthony on “Sewing a Perfect Arc”. Library Babies — 10 to 10:30, 10:35 to 11, and 11:05 to 11:30 a.m., Bartholomew County Public Library, 536 Fifth St., Columbus. This relaxed program is a baby-friendly introduction to storytime. Library Babies is geared toward children birth to 18 months and their caregivers. To register, call the children’s desk at 812-379-1288.

BCPL Express — 2:45 to 4 p.m., Pence Park, Pence St., Columbus. BCPL Express is a mobile free book program from the Bartholomew County Public Library.

Tween Game Time — 3:30 to 5 p.m., Bartholomew County Public Library, 536 Fifth St., Columbus. Stop by after school for some laid-back fun as playing a collection of board, card, and dice games. Game selection may vary.

Teen Thursgame — 3:30 to 5 p.m., Bartholomew County Public Library, 536 Fifth St., Columbus. Featuring our brand new Arcade Machine with over 20k games. Learn to play new games, or enjoy older ones in this afterschool games club.

County Park Board — 4:30 p.m., Governmental Office Building, 440 Third St., Columbus.

Transformers — 6 to 7 p.m., St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, 719 Fifth St., Columbus. This group welcomes children and families who are grieving a loss. Meets in person on the first and third Thursdays of each month. Contact bereavement specialist David Dopson at 812-314-8096 or [email protected].

Learn about the process of voting, explore a voting machine, and learn what happens after your vote is cast. Absentee ballot information, and voting registration will be available.
