Nancy Spartz, a Columbus woman who beat cancer nearly a decade before, was among those who were recognized during an Indianapolis Colts game. Spartz and other breast cancer survivors joined the Colts cheerleaders to form a human tunnel for Indianapolis players to run through before the game.

1999

World renowned glass artist Dale Chihuly opened his new exhibit at the Indianapolis Museum of Art — Columbus Gallery. Chihuly flew from Jerusalem to Indianapolis, after he opened an exhibit at the Tower of David Museum.

1974

A record low temperature for the season was set in Bartholomew County at 28 degrees. The previous record was 32 degrees set in 1888.
