Panthers fall, but advance individual

SEYMOUR — Jennings County saw its boys tennis season come to an end as a team Thursday with a 4-1 loss to Brownstown Central in the Seymour Sectional, but was able to advance one in the individual tournament.

Parker Bales beat Smith Hackman 6-1, 6-2 at No. 1 singles and will continue play in the sectional Tuesday or Wednesday at Columbus North.

Ty Zohrlaut fell to Chase Brock 6-2, 6-2 at No. 2 singles, and Lucius Stidham lost to Jase Reeser 6-3, 6-0 at No. 3 singles for the Panthers (7-15). Cole Skinner and Luke Napier fell to Pierson Wheeler and Lane Steward 6-0, 6-3 at No. 1 doubles, and Brady Sentz and Asher Morin lost to Max Peeters and Brady Davis 6-4, 7-5 at No. 2 doubles.
