2014

Eleven international scholars from the Fulbright Distinguished Awards in Teaching Program visited the Columbus Signature Academy Fodrea and Lincoln campuses, as well as Central Middle School. The Fulbright Program brought the teachers to the United States for a four-month program.

1999

Columbus’ Ron Collins won third place in the third quarter of the L. Ron Hubbard Writers of the Future Contest and won $500 for his story, “Out of the Blue.” Collins also participated in 1998 and his entry, “The Disappearance of Josie Andrew,” was published in “L. Ron Hubbard Presents Writers of the Future, Vol. 14.”

1974

John Hart and Dr. Gary Barksdale won first place, Danny and Jerry Clerkins won second, and Dave Clark and George Kolapanis won third place in the Cummins Duplicate Bridge Club’s third quarter championship tournament.
