Ivy Tech names distinguished alumni and benefactor of the year

Ivy Tech Community College alumni, donors and volunteers from across the state were recognized by the college and the Ivy Tech Foundation at the 2024 Distinguished Alumni and Benefactor Awards in Indianapolis last weekend. A graduate and a donor were nominated from each of Ivy Tech’s campuses for the awards.

Kassi Zeigler of Columbus was honored with the Distinguished Alumni Award for her professional, philanthropic and volunteer achievements. Zeigler graduated from Ivy Tech Columbus with an associate degree in general studies and is a branch relationship manager at Centra Credit Union. She was president and vice president of the Student Government Association, was on the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Council and completed the Student Leadership Academy.

Mary and Bob Orben of Columbus were honored with the Benefactor Award for their more than 25 years of support of the Columbus community and the Ivy Tech Foundation. The Orbens have also supported First Presbyterian Church, Lehigh University, United Way, Our Hospice and the Columbus Regional Health Foundation.
