Carolyn J. Darlage Trimpe

FRANKLIN

Carolyn J. Darlage Trimpe, 89, of Franklin formerly of Columbus, passed from this life at 7:00 p.m. Friday, October 4, 2024 at Franciscan Health in Indianapolis.

Carolyn was born July 9, 1935, in Seymour, Indiana, the daughter of Martin T. and Irene L. Kruse Voss.

She married Herman H. Darlage April 24, 1954; he preceded her in death May 1, 1990. She later married Earl “Bob” Trimpe July 31, 1993; he preceded her in death December 31, 2017.

She was a member of St. Peter Lutheran Church-Waymansville, serving in numerous rolls within the church.

She was a former member of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, where she served as Sunday school superintendent.

She was a member of Come Double’s Club, Beta Sigma Phi sorority and home economics club.

Survivors include her children, Debbie (Charlie) Wells of Evansville, Lynn (Gay) Darlage of Franklin, Karen (Doug) Toombs of White Pigeon, MI, Kevin (JoAnne) Trimpe of Northfield, IL and Chris (Tina) Trimpe of Ogilville; grandchildren, Chuck (Suzanne) Wells, Zach (Jennifer) Wells, Mackenzie (Steven) Vandergriff, Chad (Sadie) Darlage, Nick (Jess) Darlage, Jake (Caitlyn) Darlage, Casey (Michael) McCrady, Mallory (Casey) Colbert, Jack Trimpe, Kristin (Zach) Wilson, Amanda (Michael) Ardizzone, Alex (Reagan) Trimpe, Braden (Hannah) Trimpe and Lydia Trimpe; 26 great-grandchildren; and a daughter-in-law, Cindy (Joe) Trimpe-Tempio of Mooresville.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands and a son, Keith Trimpe.

The funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday October 9, 2024 at St. Peter Lutheran Church-Waymansville with the Rev. Erik Sorenson officiating.

Family and friends may gather for a time of visitation from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday at Barkes, Weaver &Glick Funeral Home on Washington Street and 9:30 a.m. to time of service Wednesday at the church.

A private graveside service will be held at Garland Brook Cemetery and she will be laid to rest next to her first husband, Herman Darlage.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Peter Lutheran Church-Waymansville or Camp Lakeview.
