Roselian Jean (Cranford) Heeb

COLUMBUS

Roselian Jean (Cranford) Heeb departed this life for eternal glory on Sunday morning, Oct. 13, 2024, in Columbus, Indiana, after a long illness. She was surrounded by family.

Born on March 26, 1928 (96) to Claude Bernard Cranford and Odella (Harper) Cranford in Rush County Indiana, she was a 1946 graduate of Rushville High School. She pursued a career in administrative work having employment as secretary at the Rushville Courthouse, Rushville High School, the Clerk-Treasurer’s office, and finally retiring from the Law offices of Earnest, Foster, Eder, Levi, and Northam. She completed several independent projects for people who needed typing done or papers graded for teachers and more.

On June 1, 1952, she married Robert Heeb of Rushville at Main Street Christian Church. They were married for 67 years. They are survived by four children: John Paul Heeb (Sheri Colson) of Celina, OH; Timothy Mark Heeb (Jeanne Marie Ogg) of Bloomington, IN; David Lynn Heeb of Columbus, IN; and Cynthia Madel (Heeb) Bolte (Dale) of Columbus, Indiana, and several nieces and nephews. Roselian and Robert were the proud grandparents of ten grandchildren. Just prior to Robert’s passing in 2019, they were anticipating the birth of great grandbabies. Roselian went on to enjoy the births of seven great-grandchildren. No doubt, she has many stories to share with “her Rob” about their growing family.

As a stay-at-home Mom to her four children, she was a lifelong follower of Jesus whom she loved and trusted through her daily walk. She was a faithful servant making others’ needs a priority. She was a wonderful and dedicated wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt, cousin and friend. Her marriage to Robert was a Christ-centered, loving, and committed marriage.

Roselian enjoyed reading, music, fixing family meals, family reunions, telling stories, and took an interest in her children and grandchildren’s activities, praying daily and faithfully for each one. Her faith sustained her, and she took much comfort in daily devotions and God’s word. She was active in church as a Sunday School teacher, VBS teacher, Church secretary and Treasurer, an active member of the Church Ladies Aid, and a faithful supporter and witness as a Church Elder’s wife.

Roselian was cherished and greatly loved. We celebrate her going home to Jesus and reuniting with her loving husband, Robert. We grieve only for ourselves. Her presence in our lives will be deeply missed by all who remain. She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother, Paul Cranford, and her loving husband, Robert.

Services for a celebration of life for Roselian will be conducted on Thursday, October 17, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. in the afternoon, with Dr. Martin Wright and Virgil Clotfelter of Ogilville Christian Church officiating at Moster Mortuary of Rushville, Indiana. Visitation will be from 12 noon to 2:00 p.m. Graveside service and burial will be conducted immediately following at East Hill Cemetery of Rushville.

Memorial contributions may be made to Our Hospice of Southern Indiana, Wounded Warrior, or Tunnels to Towers.

Mother, you loved with all your being; you were loved by all who knew you. We celebrate your homecoming and know that in the arms of Jesus, you heard those beautiful words, “Well done, thy good and faithful servant”; No pain, no sorrow, but everlasting life.

Moster Mortuary of Rushville is entrusted with the services.
