Sunright America opened it third factory in 12 years on the northwest side of Woodside Industrial Park. The metal automotive fastener manufacturer added around 60 jobs to their 200-member workforce.

1999

The Columbus North High School Sound of North marching band qualified for the state contest at the RCA Dome. North was one of five bands selected from the south regional at Jeffersonville, and beat 13 of 16 other competing bands.

1974

Jim Keys, master of ceremonies for the Columbus Design Conference, welcomed more than 600 students and visitors for a weekend of architectural studies. Many of the visiting students chose to camp out at Mill Race Park along the Driftwood River.
