Letter: Vote for Thiele for fiscal accountability

From: Tracey Pike

Columbus

I am writing to share my support for David Theile, candidate for Bartholomew Consolidated School Corp. (BCSC) board. Bartholomew County is fortunate to have a candidate with David’s strengths, character, passion, and dedication to serve our educators, our parents and our students on the ballot this November. I’d like to provide three compelling reasons to vote for David Theile for school board.

1) Fiscal responsibility has been a priority of his life’s work. David Theile is a certified public accountant and certified management accountant with over 30 years of accounting, finance, and business management experience. I believe David’s financial stewardship and fiscal prudence will serve Bartholomew County taxpayers well and hold BCSC administration to a high level of accountability.

2) David believes that no one loves and cares for our students more than their parents/care providers. He has unequivocally expressed his support for parents to have/maintain their voice and guidance in all issues pertaining to protecting and educating their children.

3) David exudes a dedication and passion to foster a growth mindset, hold high standards for, and champion our youth to success. Having proven his dedication to mentor and coach youth, David has spent the past 14 years as a volleyball coach at White Creek Lutheran and has volunteered in many capacities in our community. David will hold high standards for all of our youth, expect high levels of academic achievement, and do all that he can to support our children to obtain life-skill-ready competencies for their success.

Over the course of these last few years, I have gotten to know David and have been very impressed with his heart to serve others and passion to give back to our community. I have watched David dig deep for truth, listen to opposing views, and logically offer sound solutions to complex issues. I’ve witnessed David advocate for teachers, parents and youth, without personal benefit.

I urge you to vote for David Theile for Bartholomew County School Board on Nov. 5th.
