2014

Columbus North High School student Timothy Duckworth played a digital organ to accompany a screening of the 1925 silent film “The Lost World,” based on the Arthur Conan Doyle novel for his senior project. The free performance took place in the Judson Erne Auditorium.

1999

Pleasant Run, an Indianapolis-based family and children services center, opened its first satellite office in Columbus. The center offered child-centered services for at-risk youths ranging from group home care to an Intensive Treatment Center.

1974

A festival sponsored by the Schmitt Parent-Teacher Association was held at the elementary school, which included a shadow puppet theater, crafts and a bake sale.
